Jay Noble is a visual artist and educator living in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  His artwork spans the continuum between abstraction, figuration and seeing as a creative act.  He earned his MFA from American University in Washington DC and also studied at the New York Studio School and Chautauqua School of Art.  Artist-educators such as Charles Cajori, Glen Goldberg, Barbara Grossman, Deborah Kahn, Stanley Lewis, and Graham Nickson resonated most to form his own vision.  His artwork has been exhibited in solo and group shows up and down the East Coast and the Midwest.

The entrepreneurial spirit towards artists and educational community-building of the inspirational Don Kimes (American University, Chautauqua School of Art in NY, Italy Programs, and more) planted a seed of possibility that tugged at Noble, and after a decade as a passionate educator in the college setting he decided, "I had more to offer and saw an important need."  This led him to found Mount Gretna School of Art where he currently serves as Executive Director.
